Wudangshan is a County-level city  which is actually a peaceful town under Shiyan city.

It is very safe and quiet here with many kinds of delicious foods. It is neither rich nor poor here and people here are quite kind,nice and well-behaved. The water is very clean and air is very fresh.

The hotels here are around 100 CNY per day while special holidays are higher. The renting fee can be 500 CNY per month.

The foods here are quite cheap with 50 CNY covering one day.

Tips on visiting Wudang Mountains
When entering a temple, do not point at the sculptures, do not make any noise, and do not step on the threshold.
It is not polite to ask the age and family origins of the Taoist priests, who believe in immortality.
Hire a tour guide when you enter the mountain area because it is sparsely populated and covered with dense forest.
Smoking is forbidden. If you want to smoke, please go to a designated smoking area in scenic spots.
Carsickness is quite common on the buses because of the winding, zigzagging mountain roads.
Spring, summer and autumn are the best seasons to visit Wudang Mountain, but it can be chilly near the top so be sure to bring along enough warm clothing.
You can stay up on the mountain at night, but most people prefer the convenience of staying closer to the town, about 25km from the main peak.
